The Shining Thistle Pipe Band (STPB) was formed in Helena, Montana in 1998. STPB performs in parades, celebrations and other public events. We especially like to perform at events that honor those in the armed forces, police, firefighters, paramedics and other entities that make this country great. We are very proud to be the official pipe band of the First Special Service Force. To be associated with these heroes is a tremendous honor.

We are always looking for talented people to join our band (no experience necessary!). We meet for practice every Thursday night at 6PM at the Salvation Army Church - 1905 Henderson Street in Helena.
